1. Developers Mode
The developer mode is the very useful feature in Android Smartphones. You can do several great or big changes in your Smartphone’s UI (User Interface) with the help of it. This feature is much hidden and one cannot easily discover it. To turn on the Developers Mode in your Android smartphone you need to go to phone Settings and then scroll through and select the “About Phone” tab. You will be seen a Build number here, then click on it continuously until you see the “Developers mode has been enabled” message. Then again you have to come out and to see the “developers mode” tab in the main settings menu.
2. Animation Scale
If you feel some slight lag in your phone than you can correct it through the Animation Scale. You will need to go inside the phone settings to disable the Animation Scale. However this feature is also slightly hidden and you need to enable the Developers Mode first which we have already told you above. After that go into the Developers Mode and here you will see Window Animation Scale, Translation Animation Scale and Animator Duration Scale option. You need to turn of the all three options here.
3. Change the default App
Many times whenever you clicked any link then it will be opened in the Google Chrome Web Browser. Same like this, photos are opening in the Android photo viewer and videos are opening up in the phone’s default video player. But if you want then you can change the default app. To do so you need to go to the phone’s settings and choose the App sections. Then click on to that app which you want to change the Default App. You will see a clear default option beneath just tap and click on to that.
4. Quick Access Settings Menu
Notifications come on the above part of the smartphone which can be seen by swiping on the display. However, if you swipe twice from top to bottom then the settings menu will be seen. But if you want to see the notifications with the one swipe, then you can do a two finger swipe to see the notifications directly. In new smartphones it will be visible with the 3 finger swipe however the old smartphones can access it with the 2 fingers swipe.

However, it requires the cast support on your TV or either you require devices such as Google Chromecast to cast your smartphone screen to the TV. After then you just need to go in phones settings menu and find the screen cast menu and turn it on.

6. Manage the app notifications
There are so many apps for which you don’t like to see the notifications; in this situation you can block the notifications for those apps. To do this, just go to the settings and click on the Apps menu and select the app and click on the block notifications. If you want to block notifications for multiple apps then you need to do it one by one for every app.
Other way to do is just touch and hold the notification of those apps which you want block to do it. A long press on the notification will directly take you to the manage notifications menu of that particular app.
7. Zoom the map with one hand
When you are using the phone with two hands then on that time you will use pinch to zoom to enlarge the map. But zooming becomes critical while using the smartphone with one hand. In this situation you can do double tap on the screen to zoom the map. Tap on that area which you want to enlarge.
8. Do not disturb (DND)
Sometimes you want strictly privacy due to some possible strict reasons like whether you are in a important meeting, conference, finishing important work, sleeping or maybe you are on a place where you don’t want any disturbance or don’t want to listen even any slight noise. In such situation turning off the phone is not the only situation, you can even choose for Do not disturb (DND) feature as well.

9. Smart lock
This is also a very useful feature. You can keep your phone secure with the help of this feature and can save your valuable time as well. You can set the options of trusted place in your phone. Phone will be automatically unlocked on the trusted places and phone will be locked just after coming out from the trusted places area.
Let’s say if you choose the home as a trusted place then phone will be automatically unlocked when you are in the home. You can even choose your face as your device lock and your phone will not be unlocked until it sees your face. If there is a fingerprint sensor then to you can set your face as your device lock. Smart lock option will be seen in the security menu inside the phone settings.
10. Screen pinning
This is also a special feature in terms of security concerns. But there is a different way to turn this feature on and off. To do the screen pinning you first need to go to the settings menu of your smartphone. Choose the security menu from here. You will see the screen pinning option on the below and just tap to turn it on. Now come to the home screen and open the app which you want to pin. Then click on the task manager button. You will be seen every app of the phone here and that app will be seen on the very top which you want to pin. You will also get a pin too along with that app. You need to touch that pin and that application will be opened and seen by you on the screen. And then only that particular app will be used.
11. Safe mode
If you feel that your phone is lagging/hanging or heating up a lot then you can identify the problem with the help of the safe mode. Sometimes problem is raised by an app or sometimes with the software. In this situation, if you turn on your smartphone in safe mode then 3rd party apps will not work here and if your phone is working well in the safe mode, then must know that there must be an issues with the app you have installed recently in your smartphone. And if your phone is not working well even in safe mode then you must need to take your phone to the service center. To turn on your phone in safe mode, first turn off your smartphone and press the power button for a long time and then your phone will be turned on in safe mode.

13. Change the Wi-Fi
You can turn on and turn off the Wi-Fi of your smartphone by simply going to the quick settings, but when you need to change the Wi-Fi then you only follow that traditional old way, just going in the settings and in Wi-Fi networks scanning the Wi-Fi networks again and then you change the network. But the simple way to do it is, just go to the quick settings and do a long tap on the Wi-Fi, then every available network will be visible and you can change the network with your desired choice.
14. USB debugging
Sometimes your phone will not be able to connect with the computer, and then you can turn on the USB debugging in such events. After that go to device administrator menu and check the box written with “remotely locate this device”. Now you can lock, block or erase the data of your smartphone even if your phone is lost.
