Xiaomi’s most anticipated smartphone of 2019, the Redmi Note 7 Pro is launched globally in India today (28th February 2019) at an event held in New Delhi. Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 7 as well in the same event along with the Mi Sports Bluetooth Earphones Basic and Mi LED TV 4A Pro 32 Inch.

- Redmi Note 7 Pro
The Redmi Note 7 Pro finally becomes global officially, Xiaomi was teasing about this from over a month. The Pro version is the more improved version of the Redmi Note 7 and it has various major improvements such as great cameras, processor, storage, and some other features as well.
The Redmi Note 7 Pro is starting from INR 13,999 (4+64 GB) and another one is priced at INR 16,999 Rs (6+64 GB) in India. The smartphone will be available to buy on Mi.com on sale starting from 13th March 2019 at 12:00 PM. Later on, the smartphone will be available on Amazon, Flipkart, Mi Home Stores, and selected offline retailers as well.
The smartphone is available in 3 colour options (Neptune Blue, Nebula Red, and Space Black) where the first 2 variants come with gradient coloured back panel.
Redmi Note 7 Pro Specifications
The Redmi Note 7 Pro features the “Aura Design” along with the Redmi Note 7 as well. Both of the devices have the 6.3 6.3-inch HD+ 19.5:9 displays featuring a dot notch (waterdrop kinda) as well on the top. Both smartphones have the Gorilla Glass 5 display on the front and the back side is also protected by the Gorilla Glass 5 with 2.5D curved glass for extra durability.
The smartphone houses an 11nm Snapdragon 675 octa-core processor coupled with 4 GB and 6 GB of RAM and has 64 GB and 128 GB Internal storage that can be further expanded up to 256 GB through a micro-SD card.
Redmi Note 7 Pro Camera
The Redmi Note 7 Pro has a vertical dual camera setup on the back side that includes a 48 MP Sony IMX 586 primary sensor with f/1.79 along with a 5 MP secondary sensor to sense the depth of field information. The company has added numerous AI-powered features in the camera app that includes, AI scene detection, AI portrait 2.0, night mode, cinema shots, light trails, and many more. The back camera can also record videos in 4K format.
There is a 13 MP camera at the front as well to capture great selfies with AI portrait, light trails, studio lighting, and many more great features.
A 4000 mAh battery is powering the device and according to the company, the smartphone provides 2 days of battery backup. The smartphone comes with Quick Charge 4.0 support which means the device will be charged very quickly.
The other features include a USB Type-C port, 3.5 mm audio jack, dual SIM support with dual standby and dual VoLTE, Wi-Fi 5, IR Blaster, and Bluetooth 5 etc. Also, the device runs on the Android Pie based MIUI 10 ROM. According to Xiaomi, the system performance response is 10% faster in Redmi Note 7 Pro.
Price and Availability
The Redmi Note 7 Pro with 4/64 GB variant is priced at Rs 13,999 and the 6/128 GB variant is priced at Rs 16,999 in India.
The first sale of the device will be on 13th March 2019 on Mi.com and later on, it will be available on Amazon, Flipkart, Mi Homes, and selected offline stores as well.
- Redmi Note 7
The Redmi Note 7 too launched in India along with the Redmi Note 7 Pro; this is a vanilla version of the Redmi Note 7 Pro. The Redmi Note 7 is powered by a Snapdragon 660 2.2 GHz octa-core processor. The smartphone comes with a choice of 3GB and 4GB RAM variants and 32GB and 64GB internal storage variants.
The smartphone has a 6.3-inch full HD+ 19.5:9 display with corning gorilla glass 5 and the backside of the phone is also protected by a 2.5D curved gorilla glass 5. There is a 4000 mAh battery is used to power up the device with 2 days of juice along with Quick Charge 4.0 support.
The smartphone has a vertical dual camera setup at back with a 12 MP 1.25 micron f/2.2 primary sensor accompanied by a 2 MP depth sensing camera. There is a 13 MP front camera for clicking selfies and this smartphone also features studio lighting, light trails, face unlock, beautify 4.0, AI Portrait 2.0, and AI scene detection etc.
The Redmi Note 7 also has Dual SIM Dual Standby, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, GPS, IR Blaster, USB Type-C, and 3.5 mm audio jack etc. The Redmi Note 7 also supports a micro SD card to expand the storage up to 256 GB.

The Redmi Note 7 is priced at Rs 9,999 for 3+32 GB variant and the 4+64 GB variant is priced at Rs 11,999 in India. The first sale of the smartphone will on 6th March 2019 at 12:00 PM IST.
