Google Cache 404 Error will not drop search rankings

John Mueller from Google said on Reddit that if your cache link in Google displays a 404 error that it doesn’t mean your rankings will be harmed in Google. John said “that can happen, it doesn’t mean anything.”

So, if you are worried about that it will harm your ranking or your pages can get de-indexed, Google says, no need to be worry about this. The Google Cache 404ing is an inside issue with the Google Cache server and doesn’t think about indexing or positioning of the website page.
