Artificial Intelligence and Android Apps

How is AI paving their ways in Android app development?

Apps were smart but they are getting smarter with the addition of newer technologies like AI, AR, VR, and ML. With the enterprise and business facing crucial competition, they are striving to add every possible innovative addition that provides them a competitive edge and something extraordinary than the usual Android apps. Looks like AI has some significant impact on the business and enterprise apps. According to the reports of Statista AI is expected to cross $17 Billion by the end of 2020. I bet you want to be a part of this booming industry.

The best way is to start incorporating it in the Android apps. It will take your apps to whole another level. Here is how.

  1. Face Detection

This is a cool feature which accompanies with added security. There was a time when such features were just in high-security places. But, now it can be integrated into your Android apps as well. Face detection is all about identifying the user’s face in digital images. This technology is already in existence, you just need to integrate it into your Android app and make it cool, innovative, and highly secure. Also, the market is at the inception stage of accepting and implementing it which can give your app a competitive advantage.

  1. Landmark Detection

It’s a very unique AI feature you can integrate it into your Android app. It helps to locate particular points in the 2D image. With such feature, real estate apps would be highly benefited. If you are having trouble getting required users to your real estate app, AI can be the solution to your problem. It is basically the core part of the complex research process. It is part of the improved security process for payment transactions. With this feature, the payment will be safer for users. People can lay trust easily.

  1. Smart Reply

We have seen what this feature has done to Gmail. People just loved the smart reply feature.

It’s just great how they combined AI and ML technologies to avail highly personalized experience. By integrating smart reply feature, the user can save a lot of time during a conversation.

Effectiveness of AI
Effectiveness of AI

The user needs to type a word and there will be a suggestion about the next word or to complete an entire sentence. This will be a great addition for the business Android application. Well, the Android app development company might charge a bit extra but the investment is worth the return. Not every Android app has this feature which will surge the demand of your app, number of visitors, and hence increasing the engagement as well.

  1. Personalized Experience

Creating a customer base might be a bit easy but, maintaining them is tricky. There are always new things entering the market and the chances of user shifting to other apps are high. If you provide the users with a personalized experience, they are bound to stick with your app. Artificial intelligence offers predictive analysis according to the user’s likes and behavior and also show recommendation based on it. This way the user will find things that they like and won’t have scroll the entire app for that. Apps like Facebook, Netflix, Amazon Prime, have already adapted AI in their app and users love it.

  1. Text Recognition

It takes two processes to integrate this feature into the Android app. The first is detecting texts from media files in video and image formats. The second is getting the detected text. The feature basically breaks the text into different segments to detect the text. This feature has a lot of potential for modern businesses. At present, there are several word-based Android game apps that make use of this feature to provide gamers with the task relating to words.

  1. Image Labeling

Android developers can make use of this AI feature in varied ways. An image labeler app can allow the developers to give an interactive label to the image. Classifying an image would be a lot easier along with giving a label to rectangular ROI and pixel semantic segmentation with the technology. The user will feel more attached to the images and objects of the android app with image labeling.

  1. Chatbots

Considered as one of the most revolutionary innovation in the Android app development field; chatbots are great when it comes to communicating with the audience, collecting information and data, and availing the users with the enhanced services. Healthcare, insurance, and eCommerce are the industries that are going to benefit the most if they integrate chatbots into their apps.

Android App Ideas
Android App Ideas

Also, it’s a cost saver. You will be relieved from hiring a customer executive to answer the users 24/7. Chatbots will give a human-like experience.

Well, AI has already paved its way into the Android app. I suppose it’s high time if you are considering hiring an Android app development company to deploy your app, choose the one having the abilities to integrate AI. I suggest you don’t wait till the time when every single app has this functionality and your extra cost doesn’t even pay you off. It’s just to sustain the market. At this stage, the innovation can give you a higher return.

Android is Evolving and Transforming the World!

In the present scenario, Android is one of the fastest growing technologies in the world. Android is competing successfully in a wide range of Smartphone as well as tablets simultaneously with several other devices.

Observing this, people may think developing an Android App or a program is simple, but in reality, it’s not! Android developers deal with many difficulties for developing even a simple application.

Android is known as an early bird OS (Operating System) that comes up with presenting the world’s most excellent OS in the Mobile market.

Today, various app development companies are working actively to improve the system people perform multiple jobs such as mailing, watch movies/videos, catching up trending news, and interact over various platforms. Thus, people are associated continuously to their smartphone through one or the other means.

Also, the corporate world is not left out on these changes. As many business owners have started to demand an app for their businesses, some of these corporate apps are project management tools, time management software, etc. have jump highly. To be sure, it is fair to say that mobile app development companies and app developers to succeed have blended them into the realm of mobile app development.

Let’s discuss Android is growing and transforming the world

In the present scenario, Android is almost everywhere. Mobile apps development companies produce astonishing applications also for cars, smart watches, television, and many more devices.

For example: Think you are relaxing at your home with a cup of tea or coffee – take a look around your home. You will notice many of things that are working on Android OS.

Originally Android began as an experiment, and by now it has confirmed with the proof that it can run on every object that has the capability of enduring a tiny microprocessor.

Though Android app development has enormous advantages to the entire world, also a few other modifications can still make it more beneficial.

Thinking!! What else can be made to make Android app development simpler?

Replacing Java language

Though Java is one of the leading and reliable programming languages, now it’s time to think something extraordinary. App developers must begin thinking of new languages which will replace Java as the primary language for Android development.

Database Management

One more problem is DB management AP. Android is still dependant on SQL commands that extremely influence the method of development. When SQL errors occur debugging becomes very tough as it consumes a lot of time and includes no GUI to look over the database data. Hence, app developers must begin seeking out other alternatives/options.

Let’s take a close look at some of the latest trends for Android users

Cloud Storage:

It is the current trends for Android app developers that allow Android users a unique level of storage facilities. But the developer must check that it should not occupy much space.

Cloud Storage - ShouTech
Cloud Storage – ShouTech

The reason why you should use cloud storage is as below:

It is a safe, fast, easy to use and effective way of storing images, emails, text messages; and it prevents users from losing their files when they require most.

When device owners upload their documents to cloud storage servers, they provide secure back-up for all of their documents, images, videos. Then, there is no risk of losing things permanently due to failure of the device or stolen mobile phone or tablet. They can also simply share their files between any devices, computers and can also utilize cloud storage as a way of sharing stuff with their groups.

Demand for In-app Search Capacity:

Presently, Apps are an essential part of all smartphone users. Hence, it is necessary to provide all features that must be accessible under the right circumstances. In other words, an app should have the ability to work the same as well as on any website.

It is seen that mobile device usage has driven a high lift in app-related searches. Due to this mobile app search has arisen as a vertical within traditional universal search.

Google had rolled out deep linking within Google search, which allows Android users searching on their phone to find and release content in their Android applications by clicking on links to Google search results.

It’s important to know that 72% of mobile engagement relies on apps as compared to browsers. Looking at usage among teenagers, apps are increasingly in demand. Also, 55% of teenagers use voice search. Deep linking technology has made it possible. Smaller start-ups to big companies like Google, Twitter, and Facebook, have begun to implement this technology. As per layman’s terms, it’s about making hyperlinks. It has historically connected the pages of the web smartly. Rather than just pointing you to web pages, it is also possible to know of what device you’re using, and if mobile, what apps you have installed.

Adopting Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality apps

Augmented Reality (AR) apps, as well as Virtual Reality (VR) apps, are presently being developed at a rapid speed. Also, it is predicted that till this year-end Android is going to beat and meet the demands of today’s modern generation public.

Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality App
Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality App

As many of us are switching to browse more on mobile apps; hence the demand for in-app search capacity is also expanding rapidly. Users are demanding for executing search function simpler. Thus, we can state that in the past few years Android has improved a lot and has grown from being a simple OS to powering multiple other devices now.

In future years, it will evolve even more. Thus, if you are deeming of developing an Android app, then hire an app developer who knows all the latest trends and have excellent skills.

First and foremost, decide on any platform you want to create an app, whether Android, iOS or Windows or all of them. If you want to create a personalized application and apps using a framework like PhoneGap, you have to decide. Often, simple applications can be created in PhoneGap, but the need for functional applications and future measurements is simply created by home application development.

Mobile App Development

While only developers have created apps for the same site, only developers can build up to three sites. Android app developers, iPhone app developers or applications for all platforms for mobile application developers.

3. Last customer note about Projects:

Your interest is important to implement a background check by finding a developer. View apps created by developers in the past can access their success rates. Furthermore, there are references to how to review their past customers and how to talk with the developer about their experience.

Before hiring the Android app developer, you have to consider many features. And, one of them is connected to previous customers. And, after the plan, how they work, how they respond, how often they relate, how they deal with challenges, etc.

4. Try creating a strong and lasting relationship:

The application development process is not a timer, so when you choose an application developer, look at what you can do with the product preparation time. A good and long working relationship with the developer is always good.

5. Right skills appraisal:

When creating an application, a developer can encrypt using various languages, which is not a favorable situation. So someone who writes the code that connects the selected services should be selected. Key languages are Objective-C (for Apple’s iOS), and Java (for Android). Looking for cheap options is not good. Cost of the project is going to be complicated. In case you want to create a gaming app, make sure it’s an expensive affair due to complicated encryption. Instead, focus on quality. Your application must be user-friendly and no cost should be low quality. Otherwise, for a long time, you have to be prepared to make more costs.

7. App development not about coding only:

The coding design is an important aspect of the design, but it certainly is not. The user-friendly interface can be viewed easily and conveniently. At the same time, the app should be attractive that your competitors can stand out among the apps.

Look at the Android Developer Team that supports Android application development services. Many times, many companies and brands have noticed that the customer development process works with freelancers without any prior information. To meet this challenge, you need to be in touch with members of a developed team and inquire about their team in order to train developers.

8. Give experience worth:

If you choose an experienced developer, he has made some mistakes and can better understand your needs as compared to the new ones. An expert in the corporate operating system is very keen to show that the developer has worked very late and that the apps they have created are not included in their portfolio. You need to verify the developer’s experience and experience that has shown interest in mobile application development. The perfect developer will discuss the challenges you gain to get your mobile app successful.

It is easy to find many trusted utility development companies in market use, except for mobile application and quality application developers, continuous application usage services. They serve many sectors such as banking, finance, retail, health, and media.

Google Mobile Search Results Update April 2018

Google ends the pagination and switched to infinite scrolling in mobile search results

Google has acquainted the infinite scrolling into mobile search results pages.

Where there used to be page numbers at the base of SERPs there is currently a “more results” button appears. Tapping on the button will produce more search results to load up on the same page.

Google has confirmed this is only a “test.” However, it’s not a kind of test that shows up every so often. The “more results” button appeared for each search I performed today in the Google application and different mobile browsers.

Maybe it’s a “test” to assume that it’s generally accessible, yet Google will choose whether or not to keep this feature according to the user’s feedback. Until Google confirms whether it’s permanent, we can assume it the temporary one just for now.

Ransomware Prevention Tips by ShouTech

What is malware and how to fight it? (Guest Post)

After the recent Ransomware attacks, the need to protect you against malware is higher than ever.

In general, a malware is a software that contains malicious content. Malware is created to disrupt the functioning of electronic devices such as a mobile phone, a personal computer, a tablet etc. The ways that malware actually gets into the electronic devices are either through being directly downloaded in form of a file or being sent through an instant message or an SMS using a mobile phone.

There are different types of malware programs that are harmful to the electronic devices. They include computer viruses, spyware, internet worms, adware, and Trojans. These, are aimed at infecting your personal computer to have a variety of different effects. The harmful programs can potentially remove some important files from your electronic device without any possible options for recovery. It can also create additional files or extensions in your browser and it can cause your computer to function slower and to freeze more. Other effects also include slowing down the internet and weakening the phone signals.

A good way to avoid the mobile signal weakening is using a cell signal booster or mobile network booster to increase your mobile’s signal strength and avoid having the trouble of having dropped calls, interrupted and inaudible voices. However, this will not help get rid of the malware. In this case, Android phones, in particular, are more likely to be targeted by malware attacks as compared to Apple’s IOS; the Android OS tends to have more openings malware creators can target. So it is important to take extra steps to ensure your safety.

In most cases, the main point of Trojan is not to harm your electronic device but rather stay in your device and boost your internet bill or perhaps use your device’s functions and capabilities for their own needs.

In order to avoid all the above-mentioned problems related to malware, here are 5 steps to protect you from it.

1. Download from Trusted Sources

Whether you are on a PC or a mobile device, only download files that are from trusted sources. One of the most common ways that a device is infected is by downloading a file laced with malware. A good way to be able to check whether the software or files that you are installing from a trustful source, it would be beneficial to do some research beforehand by googling the given software or app that you are about to install. If after completing your research you are still not sure whether you should be downloading the software or file on your computer or other devices, you can also ask for help from a person who is specialized in IT.

 2. Install an Antivirus

Of course, depending on what operating system you are using, each of those has their own defending software; however, an antivirus can be one of the easiest and potentially most effective ways to prevent malware files from getting on your device or computer. Most major Antivirus programs today constantly update their virus protection database to keep your device safe. Even on mobile devices, a good antivirus can help a lot in keeping you safe. There are free and paid versions of antivirus and you get to choose whichever that is more convenient for you depending on how much protection you may think is necessary.

Install Antivirus - ShouTech
Install Antivirus – ShouTech

3. Stay Updated

The majority of breaches in protection are caused by people using old or outdated operating systems. It’s highly recommended that you install new updates as soon as they are made available. This is especially true for mobile devices since new being on an older OS automatically puts you in harm’s way. A major way that this can help you is that it provides you with a proactive approach with any potential malware, whereas in case of a reactive approach, trying to eliminate the malware may be a lot more difficult to handle, because the amount of damage will be significantly bigger.

4. Beware of Spam

It is in one of your best interests to try and reduce the amount of spam that you are receiving on a daily basis. No matter what software or platform you are using, it is always possible that it won’t be able to recognize all the spams that you may potentially get. Therefore, whenever you see something unfamiliar, consider marking it as spam so that the system automatically moves such messages to the spam folder. This also applies to random pop-up and pop-under windows that occasionally happen depending on what websites you are visiting.

Cyber Security - ShouTech
Cyber Security – ShouTech

5. Backup your important files

All the previous 4 steps help avoid getting malware on your electronic devices, however, it will be beneficial to take one step ahead and make sure that if you ever do get a malware you have all your important files backed up elsewhere so that you avoid further trouble with data deletion. A good way to do this is to have either an offline or online backup. In case of offline backup, you can use an external hard drive or a NAS which is a Network-attached Storage. However, you can also backup your important files online using Google drive or Onedrive, Idrive, Amazon drive etc. There are many platforms that you can use to store your data and avoid having it deleted.

In case of following these 5 steps you will be able to avoid having malware on your computer, however, they will not be effective if you already have malware on your electronic device. In case of having malware, it will be beneficial to run a scan using your antivirus and clean up all the temporary files. In case of new extensions added to the browser, you will have to reinstall the browser in order to get rid of the malware extensions. If those options do not work, it will be necessary to show the infected electronic device to a professional.

In conclusion, it is more efficient to have a proactive approach to malware rather than a reactive one, since a proactive approach minimizes the possibility of danger and doesn’t limit the functioning of the electronic device.
